Homegrown’s efforts continued with a Rock Sunday Weekend organized for the school holiday season. Some of the new rock acts included Marionexess, a part of a poet group- Negarakus. This folk rock band performed songs like 8TV, I am Fantaghiro and others that wooed the crowd in amazement with their uniqueness. Homegrown was also privileged to have indie bands such as Odie Audio, O-TWO, and Shizuka who traveled from up north to play at the Homegrown Space.
Another crowd pulling band was rock alternative band Stonebay. Playing an acoustic set, these three piece band managed to draw audiences with their alluring vocals and clean acoustic sound. Playing their hit single Sangsi and Si Murai Penipu, audiences and fans were mesmerized. The audience deserved the biggest credit as they stayed throughout the 8 bands’ performances that included Aural Joint, Auburn, and Brainheads.
